Looks to me like he used HDR, which plays with the exposure in unusual ways, then sucked the colour out. If so, I like that much more than the colour HDR pics I normally see.
How very meta.

This is my only b & w art shot that might be worth a click:
Ruins of St. John’s Episcopal Church at Harper’s Ferry
What makes the shot, for me, is the girl reading in the lower right.
There are some gorgeous photos here! Thanks everyone for sharing!
Mine are also perhaps beautiful only to me, being family members, but here are my favorites.
My grandfather as a young man. He had very blue eyes- he was quite a hottie, I think.
My grandfather’s parents and brother.
My mother as a young nursing graduate. She was and continues to be a very beautiful woman.
Here is my favorite picture of our youngest son.
Inspired by the Anne Geddes portraits of children, I asked a very good friend who is a professional photographer and owns a graphic design firm to snap a picture of my son sleeping on his daddy’s forearm.
After our friend took the picture, he Photoshopped the background (his back yard) out of it and adjusted the “lighting.”
Operation Crossroads, Baker shot. (Full sized shot)
The fourth atomic detonation. That black blotch on the base of the column? That’s a ship that’s been upended.
