What is the ratio of sign-ups to bannings, please?
That is, are more people subscribing than are getting booted?

I think you’re comparing apples to oranges here, especially as we’ve been banning people from the board since way before we had subscriptions.
But for the record, as of right now, 10/15/2004 3:30 or so in the p.m.:
Total members (signed up since dawn of time): 48,800
Total subscribed: 4,180
Total members with “banned” status: 1,950.
If you mean how many people that are paid up members have had their privileges removed, we don’t keep track of that, but I would estimate the number to be more than 10 and less than 20. Most of those removals are subscriptions for those who turned out to be trolling the board and paid for out of the kindness of their fellow Dopers. It’s a shame such a nice gesture was used to be stupid by the recipients.
