Just had my draft today(12 team league), I’m pretty excited, it’s a good team on paper. Though I do worry that I picked too many High Risk/High Reward types:
The Springfield Isotopes
QB Kurt Warner
RB Clinton Portis
RB Edgerrin James
WR Plaxico Burress
WR David Boston
WR/RB Troy Brown
TE Alge Crumpler
K Ryan Longwell

Michael Vick and Chad Pennington were two of my picks (in two different leagues). I had high hopes for Vick since I also have Peerless Price. Next year I am going to wait until after all this pre-season nonsense is over.

Our draft was a disaster. The day consisted of 18 holes of golf where people got fairly lubricated, and then the draft immediately afterwards with copious amounts of alcohol. A third of the people were couldn’t keep up with what was going on and drafted complete losers, another third kept having to call their wives to explain why they were so drunk and not home yet, and the final third of us stayed sober and just kept laughing our asses off at the other eight.

Im a little scared about my team. Culpepper, Garner, Alexander and Coles were highly rated by some people, but I thought they were overrated. However by the time I got to draft they were the best available, overrated or not. I’m also scared about Gonzo and Garner’s knees, not to mention the injuries to Philly defenders.
I love Rodgers and probably took him to early, but I figure I’ll give him a game or too to get over rookie jitters, then rotate the WR on matchup and field conditions.
