Post Your Survivor Spoilers Here! WARNING: SPOILERS!!!!

I find that annoying, too. Why not read out all the votes?

I think Tom is voting for Clarence (maybe?) as a reminder of his food-stealing. And also maybe so he will have some votes against him in a possible later tie. He knew everyone else was voting for Diane and then Jessie, so he was just giving him a vote as an insult.

I agree about Frank; I see him being booted first after the merge…he’s a little too cocky and sure of himself. I think he thinks that just because he was in the military, he has it all wrapped up over everyone else. He’s going to piss everyone off so much, they’ll get rid of him.

Despite my earlier comments about Linda, I think you are right. I see her and Carl making it to the end, at least to the final four.

I seem to be having difficulty using the link on the first page of this thread to join the yahoo pick 'em. When I click on the link, it says I am not an owner of the list. Can someone provide another link or give me slightly more detailed instructions on this? I’ve been playing around with it for a few days.

Thank you very much,
Tiburon

I suspect that there’s an awful lot of footage of Frank that we’re not being shown. It’s hard to imagine how a man as abrasive as the editors have painted him would be tolerated, let alone embraced into an alliance. Then again, maybe he’s just being used by the others as a sacrificial lamb.

Libertarian, I agree with you about Frank, but remember that they haven’t yet had to vote anyone out. They’re tolerating him so far because they have to.

Frank’s audition tape, which showed him fighting off an attack by a stuffed animal, indicates he may not be as pompous as he appears.

Speaking of which, it’s ironic that in her audition tape, Jessie made a big deal about how well she would adapt to the local conditions in Africa.

Finally, I’ll give Tom credit for the best line of the week:

Clarence: I hope I don’t have to eat a dung beetle.
Tom: Don’t think about it. When you eat it, pretend it’s just a regular beetle.

Tib, I don’t has bunches of time right now, but here’s a run down of what you need to do. Go to Yahoo! and type in “survivor pick 'em” in the search window. You should get their Survivor Pick 'Em page. Try to join a private group, and plug in the info I gave on the front page to find the group. If that doesn’t work, lemme know.

Thank you, Munch! I found my way and am now playing. I appreciate your help!

Tiburon

I keep forgetting to ask these questions…

What are they eating? I know they have canned goods, which they seem to be rationing (the cherries), but what else do they have? Rice? Flour, like last time? Have we even seen them eating anything, other than Clarence and his double cherries and the green beans for Diane and the blood?
Are they near some sort of fishing hole?

Also, in the first episode, they were carrying what looked like spears. Aren’t they on some sort of game preserve? Are they allowed to hunt anything? Are they allowed to kill an animal if they are threatened?

{{{Whoa!!!}}}

Apparently, Eliiipsis is dead! What happened? Does anybody know? David?

Who?

Nevermind. I’m a moron. And the spoiler is even more incomprehensible than ever.

Reality TV sorta-veteran checking in.

One thing I noticed was that the challenges (other than the staples, like the gross food and SOS sign contest) are a lot more grueling than before. Both teams were really dragging near the end of the sled drag, and moving heavy objects (for both the post-setting challenge and the boulder dash) didn’t look like a picnic either. Speaking of which, that boulder run was one of the most entertaining things I’ve seen on Survivor. I could tell that some of them were having some real problems controlling the thing, and at least three nearly got squashed (I would not liked to have been Ethan at the beginning. :)). I was actually a little surprised that Boran won so handily, as this looked like a very fair contest.

Anyway, it just goes to show you how incredibly quickly fortunes can turn. Yesterday, Boran was in critical condition. But the six remaining members have gotten on the same page, whereas Samburu is in the midst of a civil war. Frank’s days are definitely numbered, and Linda isn’t looking so hot either (Strange quirks which make you unpredictable in a vote is the kiss of death. Remember Greg Buis?). The Samburu “Gang of Four”…Silas Gaither, Kim Powers, Lindsey Richter, and Brandon Quinton…now has absolutely zero motivation to win future immunity challenges. Any way you slice it, they’re in trouble.

I think Salon was way too harsy on Lindsey. Sure, she was surly, but at least she finally put in an honest effort. Nearly all of her spite was directed at Frank Garrison, which is absolutely no surprise, as he’s been pretty much unbearable. I think we should withhold judgment on Lindsey until AFTER Frank leaves, which shouldn’t be long.

Just thought I’d drag this up to the front page just one more time before everyone got started on the new thread. (Yeah, I’m doin’ it because I got the last post. These things take time, you know…)

C’mon, man. Buy a clue
