Survivor 9/26. Who's going to go tonight ?

Who do you think it’ll be ?

Could be Helen- The coming next week part of the show, showed he saying something bad about Jan and she was the only one who voted for Clay, so maybe an outcast.

Could be Robb-He seems to be getting on everyones nerves

Could be Jan-Older lady, too emotional

Could be Ghania-Too emotional

Could be Tanya- She’s sick, maybe a mercy vote.

What do you think ?

I don’t think Robb will go this early. For all his apparent lunk-headedness, he’s a big guy and his fellow tribemembers will want to keep him around awhile for any heavy lifting. Besides, the producers have gone to great lengths promoting him as an idiot and they wouldn’t waste that on someone leaving in the second week.

I’ll second your guesses on Tanya or Helen. I noted last week that Helen (whose name I recalled as Nancy) was the odd one out at Tribal Council. This probably means she hasn’t bonded with the others. But leaving that evidence aside, Tanya looks the most on the outside. She’s younger than anyone else without having the physical strength to make that an asset and she’s been sick (in a gross manner yet). So I think it’ll be one of these two if the vote falls on their tribe.

Ghania or Robb would be my guess. Tonight should be interesting, the real personalities should start to show.

What’s the over/under on crying jags?

Please God, let it be R-O-B-B!!!

Robb may live a while longer because he’s useful for the challenges. So if the young 'uns lose, I’m guessing Shii Ann. If the old farts lose, it’s a tossup between Ghandia and Helen, and I’m leaning toward Helen.

As much as I despise Robb I just don’t want him to go yet. He’s too much fun to loathe. And I want to see some spitting and clawing between him and Shii Devil.

Acme is up

They’re saying the Shii-Ann gets the boot

Another slight spoiler:

NEW YORK - There was a lot of tension among contestants within the fifth cast of Survivor — to the point where there was nearly a fight, says host Jeff Probst. – That will become particularly visible during the show’s third episode.

Yeah, LCC’s spoiler is next week, not this one. I suspect it will be rather less than the MB hype would make it out to be.

Anyway, the sick chickgot the boot. Considering that person was still sick, that person was easy pickings, and a much better choice than John last week. I would have preferred the more annoying, out of shape, not so bright drama major myself, but you can’t argue with the holy-crap-we-gotta-win-this logic.

But what’s up with the challenges? I thought they were supposed to be a mix of brains and brawn this time. If there’s a brains component, I ain’t seen it yet.

They got rid of the hot girl!! Morons. Why didn’t they get rid of the little old lady from Pasadena or that military chick? They are annoying and bitchy respectively.

The real news is the previews for next week. Physical violence and sexual harassment, all in one episode!!

First, welcome to the boards.

Second, heck yeah! Next week looks like it might be interesting. I’ve been tellin’ 'em they should get rid of Ghandia, she’s trouble with a capital G. What was up with her resting her hand on (not that) Fat Albert’s thigh??? And her speech about whoever she voted for not being able to take the pressure? Excuse me? Which tribe member cost the team the win when she cracked up in front of a “grade school challenge” level puzzle?

I’ve been calling her Giardia since the first week. I really liked her at first, when the teams were being chosen. I was actually glad she was one of the first women picked. Then she started talking, and I realized she was about as sharp as a marble. I couldn’t believe it when I saw her diving for the puzzle task. Why did they choose her? I caught the comment she made about Helen, too. Last person I expected to hear criticize someone for not coping well with pressure. Guess we’ll find out what was up with the hand thing next week.

I’m still rooting for the older team to win something, I really like Ted and Brian from this team. This seems to be turning out like last year, when I was rooting for Gina and Hunter. I like Shii-ann (sp) from the other team as well, so hopefully she will make it further than Gabriel from last year.

Sheesh, seems to me anyone they booted off that team would have helped, there seem to be so many bootable people on that team. Ghandia & the older woman would didn’t do much, seem to be prime candidates to me.

Great shot of the one hauling back the drinking water and the old woman just floating in the water.

Ghandia doesn’t like the navy woman?, The Navy woman seems to be the only one doing anything, anyone with brains.

Next week looks good. I don’t think the Deep Voiced guy has been on the island that long! And was it Robb"Show Me Your Hands!!" guy who was fighting with someone?? Interesting day I hope.

Most. Boring. Survivor. Episode. Ever.

Next week had better friggin’ make up for it! :o

Team Moron votes off another younger, stronger member who has not cost them a single challenge. Meanwhile the dolts who did cost them two immunity challenges survive on. And they wonder why they can’t win.

I also noticed the hand real high up “Fat Albert’s” thigh as well (Hey Hey Hey- that’s a bit too close to the wedding tackle).

Grandma cried AGAIN. And lazy to boot- nice.

Ghandia or Grandma needs to go, or they will start rigging the contests to protect Team Moron from losing every single challenge to the merge (“This crossword puzzle is for Immunity-- GO!”). The Immunity challenge last night would have been a blowout if not for “I can’t hold my breath” girl. She had to be really happy to win immunity.

While the show tonight exposed more of who won’t make it then who will, the actual personalities did start to show a bit more.

Looks like one of the challenges gets a bit physical next week. For the “sexual harassment” thing- wait and see, but no real surprise at who is invovled. Time to watch team moron completely implode. I can’t wait!

It sure looks like next week will make up for the boring episode this week.

I can’t wait !

First off, props to stylize for poppin your SD cherry in a Survivor thread! Heehaw!

Second, LCC sure got it right. What a yawner. Interesting to see ABT blow it so badly.

Next week, most of the activity looked to me like some kinda wrassling challenge. Not actual fighting. Despite Survivors track record of trying to appear indigenous, it sure didn’t resemble any of the Thai kickboxing arts I’m familiar with.

Glad I’m not the only one who juxtaposed G’s (apparent) harrassment charge with her stroking of big Ted. I would definitely vote off the old lady, but I guess she won’t be any challenge, so she could get booted at any time, either pre or post merge.

Jed’s the stud, tugging that rope in his pearly whites. Do they teach that tech in dental school? The young pups’ win is all the more impressive when you realize the cheerleader wimped out and Jed pulled double duty. Ida thought a cheerleader would be better at going down …

The scene that made me happiest that I wasn’t a contestant was when they saw what flotsam had washed up on shore, and actually wanted to eat it! Eyeww! Freaks me out when I accidently step in gunk like that.

Why were Jed and firewoman so hardhheaded about the shelter? Seemed like new highs for mulishness.

And the old guy (Jake?) was none too happy when Penny walked him right into that post. Man, that had to hurt.

Got a giggle outta JP’s reaction after tittygirl wiped out diving off the flower.

Well, I guess I had quite a bit to say about a boring ep. I have no life!

More dopey moments:

  • Eating DEAD squid they find on the beach.

  • Dumb & Dumber going to get the water with no map and no-one had the foresight to leave a distinguishing marker the LAST time they all went to get water so the obscure water hole would be easier to find.

  • Stephanie, the rocket scientist who decided to sleep ON the beach all night during a torrential downpour. - WTF???

  • Ghandia suggesting she expose her tatas to BLINDFOLDED people! Hel-LO!!!
They should replace the Immunity Idol with a Darwin Award. :o

Damn straight. It’s the hot girls that make the boring episodes worth watching. While one part of the brain says, “You people are a bunch of idiots” the other part can say “pret-ty girl hehehe”. Lisa helped me get through some of the duller episodes of Big Brother 3, but alas, no more Tanya :frowning:

I too enjoyed watching Jake walk into the post

Team Moron, what an appropriate name. Not only do they fail the immunity challenges, but then they vote off people who shouldn’t be voted off and keep people who are dragging them down, all the while saying that the other tribe shouldn’t underestimate them.

The anniversary song was by far the most disturbing television I have seen so far in this early TV season.

I’m faced with no good rooting choice: the happy, smiley people who keep losing, because they refuse to vote off Ghandi and Granny; or the dysfunctional back-biting twenty-somethings who keep winning. I’m going with the likeable but dumb oldsters.

Gotta love Ned the dentist. He appoints himself Keeper of the Flame to get out of hut building duty…which is fine; somebody’s gotta be in charge of food. But then when the hut builders go off to gather shellfish, he’s still squatting by the fire. I guess his job description didn’t include gathering or preparing food–just watching other people cook it.
