Nah, astro’s questions can be disingenuous, but they’re rarely stupid. I’ll second indecisive1’s guess of Wesley Clark
Are you trying to channel Rue de Day? Because that’s close but maybe not quite right. You’d need to toss in some cute nicknames like Snickers and Puddin for the lady dopers.
And Green Bean, was that supposed to be Jinx?
Nope, not astro, and not Jinx and not Wesley Clark either. I’ll let a few more guesses roll in, because your guesses have been actually been very interesting to me. Wesley Clark is just a really good guess, but it’s not who I was going for. And astro is someone who I admire quite a bit for being willing to start some really controversial and/or thought provoking threads.
Interesting that twix said that my fake thread title was a “stupid question.” The thing I love about this poster’s threads is that at first glance, they are stupid questions, but then upon further reflection, maybe they aren’t so stupid after all. Some of his questions have inspired really involved discussions. He tends to question things that are so basic to our society or to humanity in general that we just take them for granted. Why do people live in houses? They just do. Where else would they live? Of course, lots of people don’t live in houses, but it seems that most people the world over do live in houses of some sort.* So the real question is “Why is the single-famly detatched dwelling the most common structure for a human home?” Now that, my friends, is no stupid question.
- Note to nitpickers and other interested parties: I really don’t know if most people in the world live in single-family detatched dwellings. I just made up this example for the purposes of this thread.
Er… Ryan_Liam? (Though I don’t remember any of his more recent questions).
It was Surreal.
