Posting in color

I think that I’m going to start posting in color, with an intricate color-coding scheme based on emotions. However, I’m haven’t fully made the color-coding scheme yet and would like your opinions as to colors I could use.
What I have so far:
Happy
Angry
Confused
Joking
Surprised
And indifferent

I hope you’re not happy all that often - yellow is close to impossible to read…

You forgot cold!

Please say you’re joking about colors. We’re more of a substance over style sort of group here and multi-colored posts are traditionally a good way to get yourself on the collective ignore list.

Posting in colors is a bad idea.

Trust me, this isn’t going to go over well…
I mean some people still hate me just for using special characters.

Best of luck.

Didn’t we used to have someone who always posted in color? I can’t quite remember the color…maybe blue…no, wait…I’m pretty sure it was purple.

What was that guy’s name? (S)he had a funny saying…

Ignoring it was 2004’s policy. In 2005, we’re going to the homes of people who post in color and inserting small to medium-sized objects into their anus.

Do try to keep up.

Amen!

Excessive or even casual use of colors is distractive, and/or unreadable.

“It’s such a fine line between stupid and clever.” - David St. Hubbins

In other word DON’T.

Think again. You are old enough to not make a fool of yourself. Take the suggestions above to heart.

 Really?? Well, I had nothing else planned for tommorrow.

Seriously, at the very least, stay away from yellow and whatever colour “Surpised” was. Posts you can’t read tend not to be. And there are better ways of expressing your emotion.

Ok then, scrap that plan.

Haha, yeah… ok.

Besides, no one else was going to bother to keep track of whatever your color/feeling scheme was. If you want to show emotion, there is a wide selection of smilies.

It’s true. From celebrating your Jewish heritage (;j) or smiling ruefully about the fact that a bee just stung you in the eye (;)), we’ve got the smilie for your emotion.

On the other hand, someone who can’t convey emotions without smilies and/or colored text has piss-poor communication skills. Let’s not encourage that sort of thing.

So? It’s nice that those people have other tools to convery their emotions. When you talk to people face-to-face, do you insist on them keeping a poker face? God forbid someone use a tool that’s available to them that aids them in their communication with others.

Want to know what happens when you post in color? THIS happens when you post in color.

That is not true, sir. We do not have a barfing smilie.

They can send a man to the moon, but they can’t get us a barfing smilie. Grumble grumble.

These emotions have been Spockified by the Spockifier!
