Is anyone else after posting being forwarded to the topic list rather than back to the thread itself? If so, when this happens, have the “new post” indicator envelopes changed to the “no new post” color? If this is a feature, is there some way to change it? Threads load slowly enough without having to screw around with going forward or back on the browser or having to reload them.
Yes, occasionally I get booted to the forum page after posting. And yes, the new post colour seems to be occasionally misleading. I hadn’t put the two together though.
RE: the envelope color–I haven’t paid much attention to it, so I dunno.
But the other thing, yeah, it definitely takes you back to the main forum after you post a reply, instead of back into the thread. IMO, this is a major pain in the butt and should be fixed when the techs get around to it. I’ve already mentioned it myself, and a few other people have, too, I think.
What you can do meanwhile is make use of the Preview Reply button to make sure that your bolding and quotes all came out right, then you don’t really have to go back into the thread to check. Unless you’re like me and you just love seeing your own words set off against everybody else’s! 
I’m presuming that this is why it’s set up like this, that the programmers assumed you’d use Preview, then post, then just move on to the next topic.
Because no one would ever want to post two messages in a row to the same topic. Sheesh. Programmers.
Well I always like to see my post in the thread, to make sure it came out right, make sure it fit, see if anyone posted while I was typing my reply, etc.
Oh, I don’t object to the preview feature. I haven’t used it because either my posts are perfect or they aren’t and I don’t care enough about it, but if in fact the system was designed to kick us back out to the topic list rather than this being a bug, it’s a really really stupid feature.
