I finally got around to seeing The Passion of the Christ last night. During the scene where the Roman guards are flogging Jesus and smiling and laughing while they flogged him, all I could think of was Rush Limbaugh’s voice. “Ya ever hear of letting off steam? They were just having a little fun.” :eek:

Seriously, I don’t understand why people were getting so worked up over the Romans. I mean, these are just frat-house pranks by some people who work damn hard serving their country, and a bunch of self-appointed do-gooders here are trying to blow this all out of proportion and turn it into a martyrdom.
Plus, Christ was just a smelly bleeding-heart liberal hippy, the more of them who die the better.
