Powerpoint Help Please!

In powerpoint how do you insert an mp3 that will play over the duration of the show? When i insert an mp3 it only plays during the slide that i inserted it in. Is there a way to have it inserted as a kind of background music that plays throughout the show, or do i have to play it in winamp?

Right-mouse click on inserted sound. Choose custom animation and then the multimedia tab settings. Define how many slides you want the sound to play.

(At least this works with Powerpoint 2000 and the *.ram file I experimented with. Learned something new!)

Bracyhy is right. In Powerpoint, whenever you associate a file (such as an .mp3) with a slide, you have the option of right-clicking the multimedia tab settings and defining the number of consecutive slides to which the association applies.

You may also have a ‘select all’ option which you can use once you have completed your slideshow to select ALL slides, and associate the .mp3 with the duration of the entire show. Beware making the mistake of associating the .mp3 with all the slides such that it STARTS AGAIN with each new slide, which is not what you want!

Thanks for the help! My slideshow is now complete. SD comes to my rescue again.
