Using PowerPoint 2010:

I have a list of required tasks. I would like to put a dynamic link to the slide number where that task is discussed. I found a way to put a link to the slide title but I’d prefer “Slide #”.

Having numbers that update with out a clickable link would be preferred to the title link.

Any text, object, or image can be made a hyperlink in PowerPoint, and Slide ## is one of the options for the target. Even an invisible rectangle (no stroke, no fill) placed over text or other things can be a hyperlink.
