Pray for Mojo - SDMB Poketroplis 2nd Quarter, 2006

Actually, I can also look at my hand history (for 5th - 10th) and this is what I found…

  1. Duck
  2. Asterion (Duck)
  3. MissT (Duck)
  4. MissN (Duck)
  5. Yeti (MissN)
  6. Root (MissN)
  7. Dag (Ast)
  8. Nesta (Duck)
  9. Kitch (Ast)
  10. Oslo (Duck)

Therefore…

Kills since 5/4/06:

  1. Yeti (14.5)
  2. Dag & Duck (10 each)
  3. GO & Nesta (8 each)
  4. Asterion (7)
  5. MissN (6)
  6. MissT, Nook, Oslo & Root (5 each)
  7. OMD (3.5)
  8. Capn (3)
  9. Kyy (2)

Heh…on more than one occasion!

I saw my 8s over 7s took Duck for 150. About 6 hands after that, I took both Duck and RA for 300 with my set of 10s. Duck aslo folded a SB of 50 to me about 1.25 hours in the game. Instead of botting with 1500, I was botting with 2000 in chips!

1 nesta 74.1
2 Dag Otto 68.5

A got a few bucks into a PT account for me. I recently changed to Bank of America, and I’m having all kinds of trouble getting money into Neteller, Click2Pay, or poker sites.

Tune in tonite!

Will Duke get outplayed by a YetiBot again? Will he go from first place to first out?

Will Capa84 show up and clean our clocks?

Will CapnPitt be up for some pillaging?

Will the Miss’es T and nomer hit or Miss?

Will Nanook be a bully?

Will Yeti be a mf’r? OK, trick question there…

Those and many more questions await.

The game was up yesterday. Good job, Allen-abusers!

Since this is the last game of the quarter, a quick review of the standings is in order. It looks to me like nesta and Kitch have pretty well locked up their positions. The race for 2nd through 8th could get interesting, though. Bring your A-game, effers!

Sorry for missing the game tonight … happy hour went into overtime.

That ought to really help boost the membership to the Duke of Rat Fan Club.

Finally got to play heads up with GO, he usually wipes me out long before it gets to heads up.

Highlight of the evening: Took out Ast and RA in the same hand. With a pair of threes. That I didn’t make until the river.

Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Duck.

Sorry I missed it. Trivia ran waaaaay too long. And, not to excuse myself, I forgot to 'bot it.

As much as it pains me to say it, congrats Duck!

Congratulations, Duke.

Now, refresh my memory; what were you getting revenge on me for?

Nothing personal, I think it was more revenge for the way I’d been playing this quarter. Man I sucked. Yeti is the one who endowed me with vengeance.

And nesta is the one who needs congratulations, he mopped the floor with us this quarter!

Ok, I’m good now.

Congrats Nesta and Duck.

The heads up went pretty quickly I thought. I started it down about 2 to 1, but managed to double up at one point with a pair of Queens (I think).

After that it was basically two hands that did me in. The first I got dealt JJ, which I should’ve folded  because I always lose with JJ. I didn’t put Duke all-in pre-flop and I paid when the flop came A-rag-rag and of course he had an Ace. He went all in after the flop and I was pretty much forced to call given the size of the pot.

So he won that hand and was back to being 2 to 1 up. After I lost a few more chips I had 87 and the flop came 984, so I bet into Duke and he called. Then the turn comes 7 and I go all-in of course. Duke calls and the river comes 9 and Duke shows 98, so I was dead from the start in that hand.

Good game everyone, good quarter everyone and congratulations to nesta.

I want to go back and look at the heads up hands. I remember be-bopping along there with a lot of chips and next thing I know I’m damn near broke. That might have been the QQ hand, can’t remember.

The one hand I DO remember was with MissTake. I had 99 and the flop came pretty good for a straight draw, but a 9 was part of it. Then the turn came 9 and I hit trips. Missy might have already had a straight then, but she sure enough had one when the Q came on the river. That was a few thousand chip swing I didn’t need.

I see I later scored a kill on her. Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Duck :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks everyone for a great season. These weekly games have been a lot of fun, and I think we’ve all vastly improved our poker skills.

I’m looking forward to next season where I’ll probably finish in the bottom three.

The hand I lost so much on early in the HU was a flopped 4 flush that never panned out.

The one where I regained the lead was… A pair of jacks! But we both had a pair of jacks, I had JK, you J8. The AA on the flop didn’t really affect us.

The bad news is the final hand. I had 96, flop 9A8 so I had you at the flop. The turn was a 7 so you had me. River came 9 so I’m back in the lead. Probably not technically a suck out, my 96 had your 87 beat until the turn and a 5 on the river would have also made me a straight.

Also, when I knocked Ast and RA out, the 3 was actually on the flop. I thought it was the river, I guess I was just surprised to win.
