Aholi…are you in tonight? I’m wondering if you nailed down your WSOP plans yet.
I’m kind of thinking of getting a room at the MGM that’s got extra room for an off day (tournament) Doperfest, but I haven’t committed yet. It also has high-speed internet access if you’re gonna blog. Don’t know if the Rio has that. Any other Dopers planning on July 28-30th in Vegas? I can be a cabbie if you guys are flying in, but it would be cool if we got rooms nearby or a table to meet up at. Three months to go and counting.
How much for rooms at MGM?
I can fly SW out there and back, $141 ea way. Get there about 12:35 PM Friday, but have to fly out on Monday at about noon…
At MGM for Fri.(7/28) and Sat.(7/29):
Grand Tower Room is $220 each night (446 sf) - has 2 queen beds
West Wing King Room is $230 each night (not sure of sf) - single king bed
Celebrity Spa Suite is $330 each night (694 sf) - single king bed (This was the one I was looking at getting)
Check here at the MGM reservations site to see rooms and rates. I have to leave Sunday because Monday (last day of the month = billing & payroll) is a must work day.
It may be a little on the high side, but my birthday is July 31st, so that weekend better kick some ass…but I’m open to moving to another hotel if it means hanging out with my poker degenerate homies.

That’s the origin of “Thursday.” 
My last class of the semester was last night, and my reward to myself is starting to play poker online. Starting with tomorrow night’s tourney.
I’ve downloaded the PT client (I was even able to get the user name “Misnomer”), and now I’m wondering about funding my account: is Click2Pay a good option? Trustworthy, and all that?
My next step is to contact Aholibah about getting put on the “special” list, right?
I’ve always used firepay to fund, and never had any problems. Don’t know about Click2Pay. Yeah, Aholi has to make sure you’re on the list or you won’t be able to see the game.
Ahh, dilemmas. Do I play poker tonight or watch Kobe unload on the m’fing Suns? I’ll probably play. But I’ll be distracted.

Allen says the game will be listed shortly. I’ve also contacted him about getting Misnomer on board. Contrapuntal, I believe, would also be new, so I’ve emailed him with the steps he needs to take. I’m hoping to hear back from him soon so we can try to get him in tonight as well.
