Praying that someone falls in love with you: creepy or not?

I don’t think praying for a specific person to fall in love with you is as creepy as it is juvenile.

What if this specific person is a horrible racist or bad speller or worse… a lousy kisser? Besides, would you really want someone who had to be coerced by his chosen deity in order to actually love you?

Overall, I think **elbows ** said it best.

That’s what was going through my mind as soon as I saw the thread title. Most Christians believe that God will only answer prayers that conform to His will. Which makes you wonder if you have any say in you future by praying or not. Lemme try that again…you meet someone that might be THE one. In universe A, you pray to God (Allah, Bhudda, Mother Earth) to make that person THE one. In universe B, you don’t pray about it. If it is truely God’s (Allah’s, Bhudda’s, Mother Earth’s) will, then it should happen in each universe, so what’s the point of praying?

But no, I don’t find it particularly creepy.

Praying in itself is creepy. :stuck_out_tongue:

Cite, please?
