Pre-MATRIX movie games: HARVESTER: still my favorite, most underrated PC game ever

One of the few PC games that relied on the STORY! It was behind the times in terms of everything, granted. But there was charm here. A tangible charm.

Predated the MATRIX by years, also.

These days, you can buy it on ebay for a buck or two.

Well, Raiders of the Lost Ark for the Atari 2600 was pretty good. Hell of a bitch to control, though.

Only other movie-related game I can think of is Dune 2, which was not only awesome (at least for my friends, I never got much into it) but spawned the whole real-time strategy genre of Warcraft, Ages of Empire, etc. On the other hand, the movie itself was based on a book…
