I take no offence whatsoever. I have experience of debate on hard-core conservative sites and people there really know how to wound feelings. You guys are almost philantropists in comparison.

I’m saying that some people are misunderstanding the speech and reasons for it, which is a legitimate comment. I am not the only one saying that.

If Gore would come out just as he is, with relaxed demeanor, beard and paunch, no mascara or stuffed crotch, I’d be sympathetic. If he’d say something sensible on top of that he’d might even become my candidate. Well, some things you can only wish for.

From here we get:

I guess you didn’t read the CNN story I posted, which contained the following sentence:
“A bartender who overheard the conversation realized the president was to visit Sioux Falls the next day and told police Humphreys talked about a “burning Bush” and the possibility of someone pouring a flammable liquid on Bush and lighting it.” Where did I say anything about Humphreys being an innocent victim of Big Brother? Keep your paranoia to yourself, and learn how to read the lines, instead of reading between the lines.
