Misstee you are leaving out the posssiblity of Hermaprodicic cyborg monkey creature made of bread. ;D
My husband, according to his MIL, was fairly normal size at around 8 lbs or so. Me…I was about 9 lbs 5 oz. Huge for a girl, or so they say.
High? Low? Where the baby sits on me makes a difference in whether it’s going to be a girl or boy?
In that case, the baby is sitting just above pubic area on the left hand side (due to a tilted uterus), right below my belly button.

Nah. Just an old wive’s tale.
When you are 4 months along, I suggest doing the Drano test: pee in a glass jar that you’re never gonna use again. GO OUTSIDE. Take about 2 tablespoons of Crystal Drano and dump it in the pee. STAND BACK, the smell is awful. Do NOT do it inside!!
There will be a wicked chemical reaction. If it just sits there and fizzles but doesn’t change color, it’s a girl. If it turns an ugly brown color, it’s a boy.
Another old wive’s tale, of course, and doctors swear up and down it doesn’t work, but I don’t know one person yet whose Drano told them wrong. At any rate it’d be interesting for you to do it so you can compare your results with the ultrasound
Predict the sex of your baby? I predict that in about 17 years, your baby will be having WILD sex in the back seat of your car (or on your roof). The baby will, in 17 years, have SNEAKY sex under the bleachers at school.
I certainely hope not, Kalhoun! Or…if he/she does, I hope they have the common sense to use a condom.

Just to chime in on the heartrate thing.
Munchkin girl born at 37 weeks weighed in at 7 pounds 13 ounces and had a heartrate in the 160’s the whole pregnancy. (I spent a lot of time on the monitors due to high risk stuff)
Munchkin boy due November 9 (Actual arrival scheduled October 28) at the 33 week ultrasound he was conservatively estimated at 5 and 1/2 pounds and consistently has a heartrate in the 130 range. (We listen to him thrum for a half hour every week)

I think the condom thing is much more acceptable than it was 30 years ago. I’m sure your little metalhead will do the right thing.
I’m sure BabyMetal will too, Kalhoun.

What does his MIL know about when he was born?
I guess you meant your MIL.
Right?
Carry on.
