Given that they have DNA from her panties, and assuming it matches his own, that’s kinda hard to fake.
He may or may not be lying, but if he really did tell an officer that he thought they were in love with each other, he’s a nutcase, all right.

He didn’t just walk in off the street and kill her. He was obsessed with her for a while (I’m sure the exact connection will come out soon). Also, they’d been looking at him for a long time. Patsy Ramsey knew it was going to come down before she died. I think he did it, but I think he’s lying about the “accidental” part. The news report I saw this morning said he hit her in the head before/during the strangulation. Accidental as far as wanting to kidnap her and that thing going awry, but it wasn’t an accident like he bumped her head while he was carrying her out of the room.
The fact that he wears his pants about 3 inches below his armpits is an indicator of someone who is living outside normal society.
