I’m in the Depo camp. I used to be on the pill (Ortho-Novum 7/7/7) but the first two pills in the cycle would always make me sick. Now I’ve got the “shot up with hormones” thing going and it works well. Plus, it makes me very hungry for a few days after getting it…and any excuse to eat three dinners is a good excuse. And I haven’t had a period in a year and a half. Whoo!
featherlou,
It is really a simple procedure, often done in the doctors office.
1 Needle
2 Tugs on the gonads
3 Days without sex, and spending some time with an icepack
6 More weeks of fertility
=
Lifetime of no-holds-barred, no-preparation-needed, anytime-anywhere sex.
In the Frumious world, it was an easy trade-off.
The day before, you get to shave his 'nads and give him three days worth of great sex to make up for his THREE WHOLE DAYS OF CELEBACY.

My boy got snipped with the relatively new “no scalpel” procedure, which results in less bleeding and swelling. Very, very minor surgery. On a par with wart removal. They’ll give you a valium if you need it.
There is one needle involved, but the one they used on mischief-lover was so thin that it bent like a hair, and he could barely feel it.
By contrast, I had an ovary removed laproscopically, and it cost me two weeks of pain. It’s not as minor as it sounds.

Well, make up your mind!
I always tell people my wife and I use the Bathtub Method – I get in the bathtub, she gets in bed, and there’s no risk of pregnancy.
She loves it, but I’d rather try something else…
