Hubby’s grandmother just passed away. Sigh … I pray that she is at peace with her maker. She was a wonderful old lady, who we really did not visit often enough.

I’ve got house cleaning to complete today since we’re having friends over tonight.
My daughter’s bird died yesterday. Poor girl, she had bury it before she went to work and then she ended up having to work late. It was not a good day for her.
She’s now down to one bird. I’m hoping she can find a home for it before she moves.

My sweetie and daughter went out looking at fish, and they said they were going to get me an ice cream cake. YUM!

LiLi and family left a little while ago, and our house is more or less back to normal. Gnat is very very very adorable and chatty, though I only understand about half of what he has to say. 
Also, the cats have finally emerged from their hiding places, and were quite miffed at having been terrorized by the small human being who made loud noises.

I suppose I ought to put some socks and shoes on, and venture forth outside. I promised I’d wear a mustache to Miami Friend’s housewarming party tonight and he’ll be most disappointed if I don’t deliver… so I need to go to the party supply shop to see if they have any really over-the-top fake mustaches I could wear.
**Muppet **- if all else fails, get some yarn strands in a bundle, tie it in the center, and leave long enough ends that you can tie it behind your head (does that make sense?) Talk about a super-fakey mustache! Especially if you use outrageous yarn!

Well, despite the fact that I’m just now getting on here, it hasn’t been too busy today. We went to the Easter Seals “Garage Sale” and I spent 37 cents! Otherwise, just breakfast and a nap. TVMan is downstairs with his assistant and I’m left alone to surf the net and snack on leftover potato chips.
Hmmmm, that’s actually a pretty cool idea, Mooooooooom. I have some bright blue novelty yarn that’d do perfectly for that, though I’m still leaning towards the whole Groucho glasses/nose/mustache combo if I can find it.
I am furiously cleaning. No damn help either.

Just back from yummy steak dinner with couple of friends form work and various wives. One couple just found out they are pregnant so lots of celebrating was done as they have been trying for a while. Man I am broody…mr ems had better watch out

I’ve had a most wonderful day! After a yummy breakfast of a veggie scramble (mushrooms, bell pepper, onion, and diced potato - scrambled with eggs,) I took the doggies to the park and watched them get thoroughly muddy and worn out. The park was a mess, but it’s been a long time since I took them.
Back for baths and a shower, and I took off to use my gift certificate from my son that I got for Christmas.
A solid hour of massage bliss, from head to toe. Mmm… When I got up I felt like a limp noodle.
On the way home, I stopped and got the ingredients for shrimp stir-fry, as well as a King Cakefor dessert!
And it’s almost Beam o’clock. 
So sorry to hear about your husband’s grandmother, Dotty; keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

Just returned from grocery shopping - stocked up now and have enough to make a batch of chili, a nice pot roast (which I think I’ma add some of that barley to), some spaghetti and meatballs and I don’t know what all else! laughs I should check weight watchers site to see if I can find any low calorie goodies that can be made and frozen. Oh, I also stocked up on my favorite greek yogurt (Fage), which Safeway finally carries now, and I got some granola that I hope will go good in the yogurt. And I got a big bag of red potatoes! Yum!
I need another day this weekend to do all the cooking I’m thinking of. LOL Enjoy the rest of the weekend, all.
