Prejudices, stereotypes, and dreams – a far-too-serious MMP

It’s all very simple, really. Kopek offered me a free trip to Israel so I could pretend to be him and molest Special1. See, easy peasey!

Leftover dindin was good. I took some already made up hambugers out of the freezer to grill tomorrow night. I got me a gnawin’ and a cravin’ for a good ol’ grilled burger and some fries. What I do at da cave is so much better than from a burger joint too.

Right now, I could go to sleep. It’s all cloudy out and about to rain again, so it seems. Good sleep weather.

Oh, and there’s a flood warnin’ along the creek again. Ya know, sometimes I do stuff real smart like. I had considered a piece of property along the creek on which to build da cave some almost 15 years ago. However, I thought better due to the fact that it looked like it could be flood prone. Guess what? That very piece of property lies right smack in a flood prone area and gets flooded at least every other year. I done a smart thing that time! Go Me!

Well, so far, today has been a better day WRT to work. I managed to slog through and get the data required and arrayed in such a way that it can be read.

When I first came in, I was asked to attend an all day off-site meeting, but I put my foot down and said I couldn’t do it. Stupid off site meetings is what killed me in November and December and put me so far behind. I felt bad for my other co-worker, but dammit, I have a deadline and I damn sure plan to meet it.

I guess it should get back to it. I still have a ton of other work to do, and my POC for this headache project still wants to meet with me today to go over the final product.

This is all so confusing.

And on top of everything else, Mork has kidnapped Cecil. My theory is he’s hiding him in this very MMP.

Glad your workday has been better today, Taters.

Sorry about the fish, FCM.

Reasonable work day. Even got home early. It’s a miracle!

Just got back from the dog walk - they walk me! A very fast paced 15 minutes. Lucy gave me the look. It’s been a while since I walked her - she loves to run! The weather has really sucked. Plus I’m lazy.

Today I had no excuses.

I am really, really glad I’m all the way across the state from Pirateville right now. Apparently the shit hit the fan between Complicated Friend, WOWCrack Roommate (who returned after a hiatus) and Corvette Roommate. Corvette has hit the skids, Complicated was getting ready to evict him, and then Corvette got into a fight with Complicated resulting in a deputy-assisted eviction and a restraining order. WOWCrack has got Complicated’s back so I’m not being dragged into it, fortunately. I do not want to spend my 30th birthday feeding a drama llama. I’d rather spend it flirting with cute boys WHICH IS MY INTENTION DAMMIT. I got an early start this afternoon, let’s hope the trend continues!

:eek:Wow Spaz. You got out of there at the right time!

Alas and alack, the dinner fairy absconced with my dinner and did not leave us any. This forced me to cook. Woe is me, where is my personal cook?

We didn’t really have dinner here. My mom and I went to a restaurant quite aways from home and they had a yummy soup and salad bar with 5 kinds of soups and several varieties of fresh homemade bread. That was lunch and so I just had some Lite popcorn for dinner.

And a couple handfuls of chocolate chips, of course.

I got a rave compliment from my section leader this evening when I auditioned my competition songs - Even though I still need to work on the up tune - she said, on the ballad, I blew her away! Best of the section!

Yay, anyrose! That’s sure to lift your spirits! I’m proud of you!

That’s awesome, rosie! Congrats!

Forgot to thank you for the noodle recipe, taxi. Sounds yummy. It’s similar to a dish we order at our favorite Chinese restaurant.

Ready to crawl into bed, I think… Nitey nite…

Worked, went to the Canes Mojo party and watched them win.

Yay, rosie!!!

stares at the weather report in shock

Okay. Tuesday I woke up to eight inches of snow at my house. Yay! A bit of work digging my car out but nothing too awful. I even made it to work on time. It was about twice as much as they’d predicted, but that was not a bad thing at all. Nice powder for all to enjoy.

This morning, I wake up to a foot of snow. They had predicted three to five inches. Egad. Excellent, but why on a work morning? Our kind maintenance guy who does the plowing managed to plow up just behind my car, somewhat minimizing the digging I had to do, but I still had to dig my way to the car, around it, clear the snow off it, move that snow, and head to work. That took a while, what with the break I took in the middle. I still got to work on time. This is great news for the skiers and I still love snow so it’s okay.

For tomorrow, we have a “winter weather advisory” saying that tomorrow into Saturday morning we could get “6 to 11 inches above 6000 feet.” I live at about 5800. If we get twice as much as predicted again it’s gonna be…interesting.

I wanted a dump of snow but wasn’t expecting three in a week! I guess Mama Nature’s making up for lost time.

Good - keep all the snow at the ski resorts and higher elevations. I’m ready for Spring - have been for weeks.

I’ll be happy to keep it. But it’d be nice to have a few days between large falls!

You’ll be happy to hear that it’s been spring here since November - we kind of skipped winter here this year and went straight from a mild, if windy, autumn to a mild, slightly windy spring. Touch wood, temps haven’t dropped below 60F yet!

In other, slightly pissy news, yesterday I went to buy us tickets for Saturday to the inaugural Bahrain International Airshow, only to find out that they were already sold out! :stuck_out_tongue: :frowning: Oh well, next year then!

I am now all booked to go home next weekend and have my day surgery on Wednesday 3rd Feb. I will hang around for another 10 days after to wait for pathology and (hopefully) the all-clear before I come home. Fingers crossed hubby and HRH cope without me and hubby doesn’t throw her out the window in a fit of frustration once he realises just how much fun ( :insert sarcasm mark here: ) the hours between 4pm and bedtime are! If nothing else, it will serve as a good education for hubby on just how demanding HRH can be!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN

Speakin’ of Springlike weather the low last night was 60 Amurrkin. A week ago we were dippin’ down into the teens. The weird part is it’s 60 now and the high will be 65. This, of course, will bring more rain in for Sunday. What with the flood warnin’s at the creek right now and the flood watch for the river and all, there will be low level floodin’ next week. Oh well, as long as it does not flood the creek bridge I’m jake with it.

Congrats BioRosie!

I’m a bad keeper of bdays. Spaz when is it officially the big 3-0?

snowbunny you are far away from me, so you can have all the snow there is. :stuck_out_tongue:

Tummy is rumbly and demands to be fed.

Happy Firday Y’all!

Bah! My hotmail account got hacked and has been sending spam emails about an iPhone to everyone. Fortunately at least five of my friends have emailed me today to tell me about it…but as far as I’m concerned it’s hotmail’s problem and not mine. The only thing that worries me is the fact that it looks like a bunch of emails have disappeared out of my inbox, which serves me right for leaving them there, but I don’t think anything bad will come of it.

Luckily I have access to my mum’s hotmail account and I deleted the email that went to her before she had a chance to look at it and then get all in a panic about the whole thing.

In other news, I played around on the Wii again last night which was fun. Dinner was leftovers from the night before, and tonight will be similar as I’m running out of freezer space so I am using up stuff in there. 'im indoors is still on his peculiar diet which seems to be going quite well, he also cleared out his freezer yesterday and dumped a load of stuff that was so old he couldn’t even remember putting it in there. Now we have a cupboard full of plastic tubs so we can start filling the freezers up again!

And it’s Firday! Woohoo. And I just found out that Anvil are playing at my local venue in June so I will be off to buy tickets tomorrow.

CONGRATS ROSIE!

snowbun, sounds like you got our meteorologists up there. “Just an inch or two,” they said, “just a normal snowfall,” they said. There is still a large chunk of that “just an inch or two” that’s melting in the parking lot from mid-December!

Today.

Happy Birthday, Spaz!!!

Congrats, rosie

Happy Spaz Day!
