Checking in. How are you doing? I’m sure the kids are pampering you!
I missed this last night! With my first son I had two full days of very regular what I assume were Braxton Hicks. Then they quit. I was about 37 weeks though. If they’re not painful and “productive” I never worried about them.
Thinking of you! And PLEASE keep us informed!
I am doing better. I have been resting all day and feel like a slob but they seem to have subsided a bit. I know baby girl is less restless and seems to have settled down.
yea, so after calming down a bit yesterday and sleeping great though the night, the contractions are back and getting a bit painful this morning. I go to my regular OB appointment today at 9:45 so I am definitely probably going back to labor and delivery for observation. This is my glucola visit, so yay! This stuff isn’t as bad as I remember. I got the fruit punch flavor this time.
Please keep us posted! Rooting for you here, and hoping that baby stays baking just a little longer!
Me too! But this hurts and is definitely not normal. Owwies!
Ditto. Hopefully the next we hear from you you’ll be posting from the hospital, where they’ve gotten those contractions STOPPED DAMMIT.
Or better yet from home, where you have returned after the doc has checked you and said “you doofus, these are early BH contractions and you’re fine”.
I got good news at the OB today, everything looks great physically, there’s no bed rest and I can continue activity as normal. Apparently she just measuring bigger than normal and this is just my body’s normal prep for birth. So I’ll probably go early but not too early! She can just stick it out for another 5 weeks I’ll be good!
Thanks for keeping us posted - good luck to you and yours.
Thanks so much. These contractions are annoying but the Dr. said no need for concern unless I see anything leaking or whatnot. So yay!
Yay!
Glad to hear it!
Belated congrats - glad it’s going okay, and hope there’s been nothing too “eventful” since
Unfortunately I was back at the hospital last night for some intense contractions. They gave me more fluids and terbutaline to get them back under control. So it is touch and go right now. I am at home but I am not traveling far from home in case I need to go back to the hospital again. The only time I got so upset last night was when they insisted on putting in a urinary catheter to get a urine sample, that made me cry. I’d rather deal with the painful contractions than the urinary catheter ugh
Hang in there! Thinking of you and your family and new tiny girl!
thank you so much! I was really hoping I was done with the scares, but it looks like this may be my next few months. Thanks so much for the support, it really does help.
Wishing the best for you and the little one. Every day that goes by she is getting closer and closer to being full term. When you first posted you were 29 weeks; now you’re 30+! One day at a time, as they say.
so the baby is already head down. I got put on procardia for the contractions. Yippie
My due date isn’t until June…ergh
Oh boy! Thinking good thoughts for you and the peanut.
Thanks! I am hanging in there ad doing what I can. The peanut is getting to be more like a watermelon! LOL
