premature posting problem

Okay, even while I’m typing this post I am trying to see if I can somehow get to ‘submit new thread’ and launch this post off before I’m done.

Quite a few times I’ve launched a post (usually a reply) via only keyboard strokes. They must be punctuation characters, as typically I complete sentences.

Definitely not smilies.

Left Paren, the Shift key…I don’t know. But just a minute ago – still typing a reply to a thread on Cafe Society - up pops the “Thank you for posting”

Can I reply to a thread with just a keyboard? My mouse remains stationary to my left, the pointer hovering over the :mad: mad face.

I’m submitting this without using the mouse. A few tabs to highlight the button, and a tap of “enter”, will do it.

In Netscape and IE it only takes a Tab + Enter - even mid-sentence - to Submit Reply.

Maybe that’s what I’m doing - or perhaps I’m hitting the the equivalent Ctrl-sequences.
