He’s not going to, so two-thirds (which is not a number I believe to be accurate at all) of Democrats are going to have to get over themselves if they want to prevent a Trump presidency.

The poll has nothing to do with covid.
But the news does stack up on a number of news items that make Biden look weak. The voters are just looking for the alpha male now, if they did not decide yet.
It’s become clear to me that the reasons Dems want stricter gun control is because they keep shooting themselves in the Goddamn Foot!

Even at that, isn’t the most common Long Covid symptom loss of taste/smell? I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, of course, but it’s not like that’d have any effect on Biden’s ability to govern.
In the vast majority of cases, covid is a rather mild disease, especially for the vaccinated. There’s a chance that Biden will be the exception, and be seriously laid low or even die, but there are a lot of other unexpected curveballs in this race that would be a lot more likely.

At age 81, the President is at a greater risk.
I have 100% confidence that they believe they are acting in a way that will increase the chances of defeating Trump. Maybe they’re right, and maybe they’re not. I don’t question their motives.
I know this is an impossible wish, but I hold out hope there is a Blue Wave, and even with Trump in office, the Congress will control him. Once upon a time (and I can remember it), it was the job of the Congress to hold the President on a tight rein. They relished in it, in fact, no matter what Party was in power at the White House. Sigh.
I would imagine that this varies greatly with age. A vaccinated person getting Covid at age 41 would face much lower danger/harm than at age 81, especially since Biden is already at the age where he’d be only years from death even without Covid.
If there’s a Blue Wave, then Congress won’t be controlling Trump, because in that case Biden would win.
