Pressure point demonstration-Legit?

yeah, I didn’t realize I had developed it until I realized that the car speed at which the wheels of a nearby car look like they’re rotating backwards (a common optical illusion) had changed for me. It used to be maybe 40 MPH or so. Now I don’t know what it is. At least 80 MPH, I know that.

But that’s completely irrelevant. ROFL

Upon re-watching the video, I agree that it’s very hard to tell, because of the blurriness, exactly where the strike lands. Clearly the pimp is unconscious before he hits the ground, but it could have even been a temple strike, just judging from where the strike LOOKS like it lands.

I still doubt it’s just a garden-variety force-based knockout, though. It simply isn’t hard enough. I’m betting it’s either the temple (which is another knockout point) or the carotid sinus. The temple is not a point I’d be chopping, because of all the hard bone near there, but it works if the hit is solid and accurate.

Did you watch it this time without the extra frames your super mind percieves?

It’s not about extra frames. ROFL It’s just blurry.

I’m still betting on the throat, after watching it again, in slow motion. The karate-dude’s elbow is too far toward the pimp’s centerline for it to have been a good angle for a temple strike.

In addition, it actually looks like a forearm hit to the throat, NOT a side-of-the-hand strike.

I don’t know how to prove it, at least not easily/quickly, but I really can see more frames per second, at least in/near the center of my field of vision.

The interesting thing is that it’s not true in the dark, under those sodium vapor lamps that line highways. I think it’s because those lamps pulse at a relatively slow rate.

And it was a harder hit that I had at first thought. He DOES shift his weight into the strike. He very nearly lifts the guy off his feet, in fact. Still, the pimp’s head does not snap back, which indicates a throat hit.

Yeah I think I’m done with this.

When people start suggesting trying out points that can do them or others serious harm, I’m going to be focused less on politeness than safety. Do you see the wisdom of that? If you don’t, then please don’t bother responding. I don’t want to talk to you if you don’t.

My favourite pressure point is that one near the end of the chin, where when you hit it really hard with your fist the other guy falls down. All of the others have proved a disappointment.

I’m getting an Akira Ijyuin vibe

Don’t stop now. Cecil says that may work

Commotio cordis, also known as cardiac concussion. This is a syndrome in which a nonpenetrating impact to the chest causes heart failure but little or no structural damage.

and more…

Hey, I found it Get Lives!

And it’s even better than you were letting on…

Seems legit. I’m going to go practice the wrist slapping technique now.

Once I’ve mastered that, I’ll transition to poking the belly button to make the head explode.
