Ruby Tuesday has also been advertising a pretzel bun for their burgers.
Mugshots is a small chain in the south (Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana) that uses Hawaiian bread for their burger buns. Personally, I find the bread too sweet.
50 large salt crystals, all in one corner?
Bennigans also had a smoked turkey and cheddar sandwich served on a pretzel bread which was quite good. It was the only reason I was sad they closed down. Their potato soup was okay too.
I think you’re right, just wait. There was a Sriracha potato chip recently, and I think it was made because it won a contest, didn’t it? It didn’t make it into long term production, but I think it’s a sign that it’s percolating the public consciousness.
I’m not a fan of Sriracha myself, but I definitely see more spicy stuff making headway - “Sweet Chili” has made it to McDonald’s (Premium Wraps) and Long John Silvers just in the last few months. I love that stuff. I think they may be working their way up to Sriracha.
Pretzel Mocha Latte at Starbucks!
Pretzel Steaks.
Pretzel Margaritas (they’ve already got salt on them, after all)
There’s a German Gasthaus in Waukesha that’s had pretzel rolls for many years. They’re outstanding and go well with a plate of their excellent Wiener Schnitzel.
Now that everyplace else has them I can say they are far better than those served at other places.
When I was a kid my mother used to melt white chocolate and use an ice crusher to chop up peppermint candy canes and mix them into the white chocolate. Then she’d dip pretzel rods into it and let them cool. Very tasty.
Best thing about pretzels is they make you drink more beer!
This fad is not only not bad, it’s knot bread.
Coming soon from Apple: the iPretzel.
I didn’t kneed to hear that.
We’re doomed.
To be fair, I could have quoted most of the messages for that reply.
Edy is a god damn whore who won’t rest until I am morbidly obese. She and Little Debbie can just piss off.
Chili’s has an appetizer that’s just soft pretzels with cheese dip. My kids consider Chili’s some seriously fine dining (seriously—my son suggested that my husband and I go there for our anniversary dinner), and they love soft pretzels, so I’m surprised I haven’t been asked to bring them to try these.
She?
The company was named after its co-founder, Joseph Edy. His partner was William Dreyer. Dreyer ended up running the company but Breyer (named after its founder William Breyer) was already selling ice cream in the eastern United States. So Dreyer sold Dreyer’s Ice Cream in the west and Edy’s Ice Cream in the east.
Those chips are back- because they won the contest. I think they were just competing in the semifinals before.
Actually, unsurprisingly, the cheesy garlic bread chips won. But Lays brought all the semi-finalists back for another go round.
I had one of the Sonic pretzel dogs. I was decidedly unimpressed.
As a native Philadelphian, I approve of this trend.
Unique Pretzel Bakery Inc. makes pretzel shells. It’s basically a hollowed-out pretzel nugget. Very tasty.
A local store carried them for a while. Haven’t see them lately.
I wondered why that was. Now I know.
What’s next?
Pickle Buns!
it’s having a war against pita bread.
