I would grumble about this in the Pit, but its a little lame, and going to come off mild, so I’m going to grumble here.
Short backstory, I’m applying to have my EMS instructor cert. transferred from New Mexico to Nevada. Nevada is requesting to see anything I have authored, co-authored, or as such. When I was in New Mexico, taking my instructor class (in 2001), the six students in the class collectively wrote a handbook for students taking the EMT-Basic class. This handbook was published by the University of New Mexico and distributed statewide. The six of us spent a lot of time putting this together, and we were particularly proud of what we did. This document has gone through two additional revisions, which added a few names to the list of authors.
However, with the newest revision, all the names were removed from the document! Now it simply states it was written by the students and instructors of the EMS academy! I know I can get a letter from my old school explaining that I was one of the original co-authors and such, but damn it I’m annoyed. I worked hard on that and my name should still be on it, as should those of my co-authors.
