Priceline Groceries..anyone REALLY know?

I’ve read the previous thread http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=14282 on this issue, but it seemed to be more speculation than fact.

Since threads usually live a short life, I thought I’d stir it up again.

How does Priceline make money on this grocery thing? Surely someone knows the real deal on this…it seems too good to be true, so it most certainly must be.

Cut the speculations, does anyone really know the scoop?

Also, I remember reading or seeing on TV recently that priceline is going belly up…anyone else heard this?

No disrespect intended…your reply sounded credible, and certainly held up to critical thinking. It’s just that last line about “I may have some details wrong…”, which led me to assume that you weren’t speaking from absolute knowledge of the scenario…rather a “educated specualtion”… ??
