Printer ink refills

I don’t get it. The instructions seem simple enough:

  1. fill injector with ink
  2. peel back the label
  3. insert needle in hole under label
  4. inject ink
  5. replace label
    I’ve tried this several times, and it’s never worked. I’m getting no ink at all from the head I’ve just refilled like this.

Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

Were there any instructions for cleaning the head itself? Ink dries up pretty quickly in there.

Try standing it with the heads on a pad of wet kitchen paper, it may just soften the dried ink enough to get it working, could take several hours. It has worked for me in the past.

Edit to add - HP cartridges with inbuilt print heads!
