Printing out a love poem

I wrote my first love poem for someone (my first poem since the 6th grade) and I would like to print it out and give it to her.

Should I sign it at the end? At the beginning? Not at all? This is how I was thinking of starting (but each line centered on the paper)

Always the…

I want to bold the title and make the font a little bigger and “A poem written for Debbie” in smaller font than the rest.

Should I include her last name? Should I include mine like this:

Love at First Sight
A poem written for Jane Doe by Mule Skinner

Always the…

I’m planning on using Microsoft Word. Anyone know of a good font for a love poem? Any other tips? Thanks.

Okay, couldn’t wait. Off to the UPS store to have it printed. :slight_smile: I can always do it again tomorrow thought if you guys think I should write it different. I wrote:

Oops! I accidently wrote her real name. :smiley:

Well, the UPS store told me to bring the Office file on a thumb drive and they would print it on nice paper. I get there and the font I used didn’t come up. They then tell me if I wanted to keep the font I should have saved it as a PDF and it turns out they don’t have nice paper. I went to the stationery store, bought nice paper and printed it myself.

I say you sign it at the end.

If you’re going to be all romantic and traditional and give her a physical version, I think you should go all the way and write it out by hand. Printing is a bit impersonal.

Okay Emily, I took your advice and on the line below the title I wrote:

Written for Jane Doe

And at the end I printed my name in the smallest font.

I would love to do that Aaron, but my handwriting is horrible and I think compared to it, using the font I chose will look better. The font I chose was Tekton Pro Ext.
