I taped the first two eps, and just got around to watching them yesterday: I’m with those who like the show well enough. More than I expected to, actually. I also agree with those who wonder if it will still be interesting enough when stretched across a season, but I’m willing to stick with it and find out. But then, like sciguy said, “I’m pretty good at suspending disbelief for some of the more ‘out there’ plot coincidences.” 
I don’t know who plays Veronica, the lawyer chick, but she bugs me a little already – though at this point I can’t tell whether it’s the actress or the character. The teenage son character definitely bugs me already: troubled boy following in daddy’s footsteps is just a little too trite even for me (but I recognized his mom right away from Nip/Tuck and Boston Public).
