The DVD of Season 4 that will be out soon will show how Scofield died.
Erm, not quite. I recall reading that they have two more episodes. There is speculation as to whether or not they are going to air them, but they should be on the DVDs.
Of course, that info is from a spoiler site, so take with a grain of salt.
I don’t know, that whole thing with Kellerman just seemed rushed and forced. I mean, I am very glad that they wrapped it up as well as they did, don’t get me wrong. But no explanation of how Kellerman wasn’t dead; no explanation of how he got in so tight with the United Nations; no explanation of how the UN found out about Scylla, how Kellerman found out that Michael’s group was after it, etc. They could have taken out the scenes with T-Bag going after Sara, and replaced them with something that answered some of the open questions.
And then C-Note and Sucre blasting in to save the day; it was, on the one hand, great to see them getting some action, but on the other hand it felt way too much like the cliched last-minute cavalry save. After all they’d put us through, I would have felt more satisfied seeing Michael pull one last rabbit out of his hat to save everyone and the day. And Michael’s handing over of Scylla to the supposed UN guy. That whole scene just felt like the writers ran out of time, so they did the “Michael held back a vital piece again” . . . “Nah, just foolin’!”
Lastly, am I the only one who thinks that it really, really should have been Linc who shot and killed Michael’s mom, instead of Sara? Just seemed like, with all the mom had put the brothers through, including the revelation that they weren’t really brothers, and almost killing Linc, that him getting the kill shot would have been great poetic justice.
They did explain. What looked like him getting assassinated was really him getting busted free by the anti-Company group that Mike and Link’s dad was working for.
I will say, while it was nice to have Kellerman back, they really didn’t do much with him. He was a lot more awesomer (yeah, I know that’s not a word, sue me) in seasons 1 and 2 than anything we saw here. Here he was just deus ex machina.
I also don’t buy his becoming a congressman. Nuh uh. Way too many skeletons in his closet for a political career.
As for Michael, until I see a body, I’m assuming that for some reason he had to fake his own death and go into hiding. The nosebleed was just a nosebleed, we know the Company surgery can work, Christina being alive proved that. Maybe I’m delusional, but I never believed Kellerman was really dead, and that paid off for me. Then again, I really did think Sarah was dead, so what do I know…
Boy, I’m late to the party. I just had to say that like borschevsky, I was so sure Kellerman would be back. I was expecting him to kick some ass though.
By the way, Prison Break: The Final Break, which fills in the four year gap at the end, should have aired tonight in the UK.
The last two unaired (in the US) episodes to be released on DVD soon. More Michael planning a Prison Break!
