Apropos of nothing, there were books, too. I still have one of them somewhere. It’s called “The <something> of Vera.” (Temptations? Tribulations? Something like that.) I think there was a whole series of them back in the late 70s/early 80s.
The Netflix selection is indeed very weird, and random. Useless to bother watching such a random selection.
Another suggestion: work harder at searching for it before you start a thread (in the Pit, yet). If you’re willing to use a credit card (or a torrent), there are lots of options that other people found immediately.
(That reminds me: there’s a series I was addicted to in middle school that I haven’t been able to find. But now that I’ve critiqued your approach, I dare not ask… I’ll get off my butt and do some serious searching.)
It was really more of an explanation about the difference between US and UK thing I didn’t understand—really, until it was just explained in this thread.
It is available on eBay…
I managed to avoid it, except when we were visiting friends who were addicted to the show. I can’t begin to imagine how they even sold it overseas.
