A heads up for TPTB. I just tried deleting subscriptions from 2 different threads, and while I got the message saying they were deleted, the subscriptions remain.
Is this an early hint of board problems to come?
It is. Tomorrow, I shall probably sit around for much of the morning with nothing to do, wondering what I should try to accomplish for the day. At lunch, I shall eat some quite common sandwich, hardly tasting it. In the early afternoon, I shall sit at the pool, trying hard not to finish my crossword puzzle while watching old people pretend that they can still sunbathe like they were 22. Later, I shall wander into a bookstore so I can idly thumb through the science fiction section and think that I’ve seen/read all these before…

Stupid anti-prescriptivists and their insistence that spelling is unimportant…
This has happened in the past – ultimately the subscriptions did disappear. I do not remember what happened around that but I don’t recall any major board outage or breakage in the wake of that, it was just a little anomaly in an otherwise regular day.

I went away for a while after I posted, and evereything seems to be updating just fine now.
I probably wasn’t holding my mouth right. I have the same problem when I go trout fishing.
The system does ultimately catch up to itself but sometimes it takes a bit of time to pass for everything to kick in. This must be another of those tasks that doesn’t always update in real time but comes along later.
