I just tried to post a link directly to a jpeg and Discourse decided that I wanted the image and so started copying it over. No matter what I did, there was no way to just link to it. And, of course, the board is set up to block inline images, so the post could not be made.
Please find some way to fix this.

The image has to on another site.
Just put the link (URL address) on a line by itself, and the image will show up.
Um…do you mean it first has to be on a photo storage site? By any chance?
