Problems with Blogger?

I have a blog using Blogger. It all went fine until recently, when weird problems started cropping up.

First the right-hand column - My Profile, Links, Archives, etc. - suddenly decided to drop to the bottom of the page, after the blog pieces in the left column. Looks like a fault in an html table. But sometimes the column places properly until you link on something and go back, or refresh, at which point it moves down.

Then this morning I posted four short, interconnected messages. All of them posted: I was able to get permalinks to connect them. But when I went in to post a fifth message, the first four completely disappeared. Not just that that don’t show on the page; they don’t show on my edit history or anywhere.

These are obviously server-side problems, so going into the template won’t help. I hadn’t touched the template in any way for weeks before the first problem started either.

What I’m wondering is if others are seeing these of similar problems, and how best to talk to their tech people. Or even how to get their tech people to respond in the first place.

I had this problem a few months ago, and it was extremely frustrating. I’d post an article, and it’d completely disappear. I’d repost it, and both would suddenly be there. I’d then post a third, and all three were gone again. Then formatting was completely bizarre, even though I’d left my template alone, and it’s suddenly go back to normal.

Unfortunately, I had absolutely no luck in getting a response from their tech support, and eventually it just rectified itself, though none of the test articles I put ever reappeared, so they were apparently forever lost in cyberspace.

At the time, it didn’t seem to be a widespread problem - another person in the area who had a blog there had experienced no problems, and I kept an eye on the main page and the Blogger Blog for indications that anyone else was having a problem, but I never did see anything.

It took about a day for mine to clear up. I realize I haven’t given much help, but hopefully the fact that it does seem to rectify itself eventually will be a relief?

Thanks. I don’t know whether it’s good news or bad news, but at least there’s some hope it will go away.

The problem is obviously theirs, which is why they don’t want to admit it.
