Problerm with Windows Mail

After a computer crash and restore I’m having a problem with Windows Mail. Every time I try to start it it gives me the following error message.

Windows mail could not be started. The application was unable to open the Windows Mail message store. Your Windows Mail mailbox data is currently being used by another program such as a virus scanner. Close the program or wait for it to complete its operation, then open Windows Mail again. (0x800C0155,2)

after I click on the OK button it produces another error message

Windows Mail could not be started because MSOE.DLL could not be initialized.

What can I do to get my mail running again? I’m not using the mailbox in any other program, as far as I can tell, and I’ve disabled my anti-virus software, so it can’t be that.

Could be a driver problem? The .dll not being able to initialize seems to indicate that OE did not load back up properly after the restore. How was the restore done (by you, someone else, using a Vista disc or a manufacturer disc etc)?

I’ve sorted it out. It seems to have been a problem with Windows bloody Vista permissions, not letting me access my own folder on my own computer. Who the hell came up with that idea?
