I’m 5’3, and the house I rent has an over-the-range microwave. I’ve been using it for 7 years, and so far so good. Anything heavy can be a little tricky, but I just remind myself to take my time and use both hands. Given my druthers I’d have a countertop model, but the overhead one is fine.
