Didja log it on Untappd? While you were in there, did you accept your [del]friend[/del] fiend request(s)?
Forgot to tells ya, but guess who I saw at irk last week (& again today)? The guy who got a nice new pair of (interconnected) bracelets, a [del]limo[/del] ride in the backseat of a vehicle by a guy in uniform & a photo shoot!
Apparently it wasn’t irk-related & not all that big of a deal.
Got an email about a 3-day, 120 mile bike trip. The trip is basically due east, meaning you finish 11x miles from where you started three days earlier. Hmmm, sounds interesting until I saw this line - “Participants are responsible for transportation to and from starting/ending ride locations and nightly hotel costs”. So for every few people doing it, you need one non-riding driver to chauffeur your bikes & bodies back to the start point? :smack:
All of the point-to-point charity rides that I’ve done make arrangements (at some additional cost to you) to transport you (via bus) & your bike (via truck) back to the start point, especially because with a bike, not just anyone can pick you up.
We went to The Cow and The Fish for supper - it was goo, if a tad $$$. Big plans for tomorrow include laundry, a run to the convenience center, and clay time. No mowage required - it’s been so hot and dry, hardly any growage has occurred. So yay for that, I guess.
I’s tahred - veggage shall ensue.
Had my one healthy meal of the week (Lettuce and Tomato salad with corn on the cob) and am content. No rain today, but then again, I didn’t go outside much so it really doesn’t matter.
Now we’ll see what’s going on in internet-land…
Rib night at Casa Roja!
A guy with a pickup could clean up. $10 to drive 22 miles.
I dealt with stupid, moronic people who didn’t know spit with one problem today, and intelligent people with another one. I missed lunch, just like the Old Days, when I ran the store.
I can sympathize. Allie is a shorthair (Siamese mix, sayeth the shelter we got her from), but sheds so much I wonder how there’s any fur still attached to her actual body.
Home from irk, ingesting nachos. I really don’t think some of my training classmates are going to last long in a call center.
I shall go join OYKW in the boudoir shortly. I’s gettin’ sleepified. YAWN
Nettie that would be true of any call center trainin’ class. Slackers gotta slack ya know.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
No, it’s one hundred & some teen miles each way; approx 235 round trip with each person’s bike & clothes. I think the best you could expect is one driver & four riders; many people would be less. I can only take 3 bikes & bodies in my car, which means one driver & two riders.
I would have to see a copy of the shipping label to say for sure but my thought is it got lost in that direct deliver system we run ourselves from the shipping centers to the homes. It is possible we ran short ---- but that is truly exceptional.
Other than that my week is done. May check in here tomorrow or may just wait until I get home Sunday. The OW may come along in the car to be the responsible adult -------- or at least more responsible than me.
My apologies, I thought you posted 11 miles.
Hell, cowboy up and ride back, wuss.
I heard back from one of the jobs I interviewed for that they are checking my references. I’m trying not to get too excited but my fingers are crossed! (This would be a great fit for me, I think and I would really like the work environment)!
Once I realized it wasn’t Flytap, I accepted.
: crosses appropriate and inappropriate appendages for raventhief :
Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work.
Iffn it was up to me it’d be a one day ride there & maybe a two day ride back. I’d do the return trip on my own but don’t know how my clothes would get back as I don’t have panniers.
You should have known by the name; it wasn’t something like “knucklehead”
::nyuk, nyuk, nyuk::
Blurf
Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 73 Amurrkin out and cloudyish, with a predicted high of 89 and maybe rain/tstorms/apocalypse later this afternoon. We shall see. The big plan today is cee-mint pond time and steaks for dindin. A day of chillage. I do need to go get some ice over to the church house in a bit. JDD and Partner are comin’ over to hang out. That’s always fun.
Poe that’s your nickname unless you already have one in which case that one, appropriate/inappropriate appendages crossed re the gig.
OK, I need more caffeine and to feed rumbly tummy. Then I must purtify somewhat before headin’ over to the church house.
Happy Sattidy Y’all!
Appendages crossed for you, Poe!
Today’s itinerary is to take dow the quilt rack/quilt from the living room wall, the original art from the studio and living room, the hangy stuff from the kitchen and bathroom and all of the hooks. Plus laundry and groceries.
Moving is such joy!
I have procured ice from over to the church house at great peril. Apparently today is national run a stop sign day. I encountered three, count ‘em three, such stop sign tbones on my way over this mornin’. Needless to say I am glad to be back in da cave safe and sound.
Break time!!! (Not to be confused with swampy’s brake time! )
I managed to mostly sleep in till 7:20. I started the day by cleaning the shower (ick), showering, dressing, having breakfast, then coming home, hauling the laundry downstairs and hauling the trash and recycling to the convenience center. Laundry is in process - jeans are on the lines and towels are in the washer. Oh, and I stripped one bed, but I still need to strip the other. Due to lack of line space, I’ll have to do the sheets tomorrow. But the rest will get done today.
Hot and humid already, and it’s only going to get worse. Thank goodness for air conditioning!
And Happy Saturday to all!
