I have several live sets of music and such which are in one large audio file (mp3/wav). Does anyone know a good program (preferably free but not necessarily) which will allow me to lay down some track markers before I burn it to CD? It’s a bit annoying to have a CD with one 74min track.
Get an editing program, and cut them into separate, smaller pieces. Go to download.com or someplace, and search for “mp3 editor” or “wav editor” or whatever.
Thanks for the reply Garf. However, I have thought of this method and I guess its the best option at this point. I was just wondering if there was some sort of program that would make this a little easier, possibly part of the burning prog. Thanks anways. I’d appreciate any other ideas.
The easiest way is probably to cut it up into individual tracks with whatever wav editor you have handy. One thing-- make sure when you write the CD, you remember to adjust the settings to prevent it from inserting a small silence in between tracks.
