Recipe???
- 1(28-ounce) can whole peeled tomatoes
- ¾cup chicken or vegetable broth, plus more as needed
- 1large yellow onion, coarsely chopped
- 4tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1½teaspoons dried oregano
- 1teaspoon granulated sugar
- Salt and black pepper

Thanks!!! Sounds yummy. In your first description, you mentioned both milk and cream, but only cream is in the recipe. Is that because it’s either/or? Thanks, again.
May or may not be paywalled–I was misremembering about the milk–the cream is our own addition.
Meals on Wheels is terrible 9 times out of 10. Yes, they did actually save us last fall when we were broke and foodless. But it’s worse than hospital food, worse than school lunches. It’s a shame they can’t use higher quality ingredients, but I guess us beggars can’t be choosers.
Sounds pretty much like the start of my recipe for my favorite comfort (and instant artery clogger) food, tater tot casserole. If you make it with Campbell’s Nacho Cheese Soup you will get exactly one serving & be in a food coma for a week.

It depends on where you go. My grandmother was on it for a while, in a small town no less, and she said the food was pretty good.
