Yesterday I was walking around the ‘posh’ clothing stores in Firenze, Italy. The collections looked more Mondo than Gretchen. The mix of prints and textiles!! Humm
I honestly don’t wish ill on Gretchen. I don’t dislike her either. Do I think she should have won? No. But what’s done is done.
However, let this be a lesson to the producers.
The lesson is that it’s not a popularity show. Actually Mondo should have come in third, his aesthetic is a crazy mish mash of juicy couture married to alex mcqueen who meets cindy lauper at a mondrian high school prom. Seth Aaron did it better.
He got the sympathy vote, and now people are pandering to him like monkeys.
NTL he’s brilliant, I’m sure he is resilient and has staying power, I do want to see more from him really, it’s exciting stuff.
Here’s a link to Michael C.'s final collection. Now after seeing his stuff I really think the judges were smoking some crack. His stuff is leagues prettier *and *more wearable than Gretchen’s. He should have been the 3rd in the final.
