Another great episode.
Kara did another awesome design! Really felt bad for the model who got cut, can’t believe she was only 17. Another one is only 16. The designer who got eliminated deserved it, even if the client/model loved it. These girls are far beyond better than those candy asses on “America’s Next Top Model”.
I can’t stand Nora, but Austin should have gone home last night. What the heck was that thing he made? It sure as heck wasn’t a wedding dress. That model looked like the cheapest of all whores in that thing. Ugh.
I’m guessing they kept Austin and got rid of Nora because of an accumulation of failures. She consistently misses the mark. While they both let the model dictate their gowns, Austin at least influenced that horrid dress. Nora was, as they said, simply a dressmaker. Hers looked off the rack with only the purple flowers as any kind of flair. Her dress was prettier than Austin’s, certainly, but not innovating in any way.
Kara’s was great. And she also had a good line about the expensive lace. Poor Kevin. Dealing with Olga would have broken most folks. “it’s itchy”. Wendy seems to be hitting a stride with two good designs in the last two individual competitions.
Somebody please smack Robert. Just because you’re the only straight guy left doesn’t mean you’ll score with any of the women.
I am afraid Austin is continuing to skate on that thin ice of ‘costumey’. Closer and closer. The ‘fashion industry party’ episode may play well to his personal strength on a party/promotion level but if it is a costume, I dunno…
One thing I have noticed about Austin is when the judges ask him about his design, he is not able to verbalize his design concept. In the Banana Republic dress he did not address his inspiration but described the features of the skirt. I know it is hard to be put on the spot for your vision, I have to do it all the time and that’s why I think it out before execution.

Unfortunately for this show, the producers also have a say as to who get seliminated, which sucks…because producers will usually go with someone who will bring story arcs to their editing. Which means talent will lose out to drama.
I agree that Austin should have been eliminated, that was no wedding dress. regardless if that was what the model wanted.
Austin had ulterior motives and was just making up for his Bo-peep fiasco last time. the design he created for the wedding dress would have fit much better during the rock star episode.

I think Austin should have gotten tossed for that abomination but he is good tv drama. Maybe Nora did commit a terrible design sin by becoming ‘only’ a dress maker to her client but Austin poured every punk design cliche to that wedding dress.
Who’s was truely the greater sin?
