They left for the ship before the others even opened the room. All they had to do was backtrack and yet they get lost. Even if they couldn’t find it on their own, the geologist guy had a mapping device in his arm, which is how they found the room in the first place.
Even if they somehow still get lost with all of that, why didn’t they just ask for directions from the guys in the ship? They should have realized pretty quickly that they were lost. Even if you ignore that, when the captain contacted the crew and told them about the incoming storm, shouldn’t the two have also heard that and prompted them to ask for directions? Apparently they didn’t bother to say they were lost considering the crew in the ship didn’t even realize it until the ones who came back told them.
I was really excited to see this movie and still plan to, but after reading about all the plot holes I now think I’ll watch it on mute with some cool music playing instead. The visuals are excellent, but someone in another thread described the movie as “beautiful nonsense”.
I will have to look in IMDB to find the other movie credits of “Super Vagina”. SV really made the show.
It is amazing how a three time Academy Award nominated director who was responsible for two of the great science fiction film classics, could make such a beautiful but messed up film. It is almost as if people who make great films can also make mediocre ones.
If that is the dumbest movie you have seen in a while, count yourself fortunate. Or watch “Thor and the Amazon Women.” That’ll reset your calibration for “dumb.”
