PS3 Uncharted 2 Thread

Is there any love for this game?
I’m enjoying the hell out of it, plus its a nice diversion from Tiger Woods 10.

One disappointment I have though is that Drake isn’t driving any jet skis. That was fun in the first one.

And a new entry into the hot cartoon contest… Chloe

Oh god, the Jet Ski portion was like the worst part of Uncharted!

Anyway, I really enjoyed Uncharted 2–it has, by far, the best character interaction of any game I’ve ever seen. It just felt so real (well, by movie standards). Great script, great characters, fun game.

I just pulled out the first one a few weeks ago, after letting it collect dust for a couple years. And after finishing the jet ski mission (after trying for three hours - I shit you not), I immediately tossed the controller on the couch, and said to my wife “what the f–k was up with that?”

If I am ever in the market for, oh, I don’t know, 50-gallon barrels of oil, I certainly won’t procure them from the outfit that supplied them in Uncharted - you looked cross-eyed at those things and they blew up you, your jet ski, and whats-er-name. . .

Hmm, I don’t remember any problems with the jet ski. I just remember it as a nice diversion. My biggest problem with Uncharted 2, is that I can’t seem to run in a straight line. Which means I can’t jump in a straight line. Every other time I try to jump across something I end up missing my mark and falling to my death.

So far I’m loving the game. I haven’t beat it yet, and I am playing on easy, but the story so far is fantastic, the dialog is great, and the action scenes, while not my favorite, are far better than the original.

I completed it on ‘Normal’ or ‘Regular’ or whatever that is. I"m going back through now on easy trying to get all 101 treasures and completing all the medals. I’m having just as much fun with that as I did playing the game.

If you don’t mind my asking, how old are you JayRX1981? I’m guessing 1981 plays into it, but you could 28 (born in '81) or 46 (graduated high school in 81).

Not to resurrect an old thread, but I rented this game today and am enjoying the hell out of it. I’ve barely started (I’m in Borneo now), but it is damn fun. Outside of a little bit of a learning curve on the controls, I’m grooving on the gameplay. But it’s really the writing and the look of the game that impress the hell out of me. It’s like playing a really good Indiana Jones movie, but with even more humor. I still chuckle at the “I’m sweating like a hooker in church!”

“You brought a hooker to church?”

Great characters, great story, and fun gameplay. I really hope the rest of the game lives up to the first couple setpieces.

Yes. This was the first game I played when I returned from Afghanistan last week. I beat it in a couple of days. It was really a great game. The graphics are unmatched on consoles (though they are saying GoW3 tops it). Controls were good and the dialog was fantastic.

FWIW I didn’t really like the first one much, even though they are very similar.

BRING ON GoW 3 BABY! THE game I bought my PS3 for 2 years ago.
