Well, has anyone actually tried to lure the topic from pimpwars back to sex? Ever failed? Because given the, errr, nature of the average doper and chat, that shouldn’t be too difficult. No, I don’t have to read the thread and I don’t have to visit the sight. On the other hand, ignoring something because it bothers me is not an necessarily an option. Gaining pleasure from a dehumanizing and violent game however far removed from the actual source it may be only serves to further desensitize the player from the actual suffering incurred by the very real people engaged in prostitution. If it’s only a harmless game, then by extrapolation a game like say, Babyrapers where you try to bag as many prepubescent hotties while avoiding the pen, ought to be quite a hit. Or maybe Fagrollers, choice of homophobes worldwide (we ain’t talkin’ 'bout cigarettes here faggot!). And best of all could be Lynchmob, for the sportsman who yearns to relive the good old days when white meant “right”. Harmless, victimless fun for all! Great for the kiddies and grandmaw too!
I wouldn’t deign to dictate anyone’s ethics but I’m certainly free to opine about them, just as anyone is free to voice their opinion about the status of my mental health or relative worth. Or is that not one of the functions of this board and this forum in particular?

I have to admit i was a little upset when magicalsilverkey decided we shouldn’t pimp cause i myself am a pimp warrior. I was about 100 times as furious when somebody referred to his disorder as ranting and raving. Most of us have other places to take our problems besides this message board. It seems that MSK chooses to talk about his problems on The Straight Dope message board. I dont think that’s a bad thing. I think its a compliment that he had the confidence and security placed in all of us to be understanding human beings unlike most of our cruel thoughtless dont give a shit next door neighbors that are a little more thoughtless and less socially developed. Were not wildlife and were not gonna kill off the weak so dont ignore the weaknesses. And for godsake dont pick on our disabled neighbors for their disabilities. Theres laws against that you know. Joyfulgirl, I know what you’re saying. But one of MSK’s criticisms about pimpwars was that it’s old. The same can be said about the threads he starts about himself. The “you don’t have to read 'em if you don’t like 'em” suggestion still applies, but I think what magdalene’s point was is that it’s rather hypocritical of him to criticize others for doing something old when sometimes old is all he seems to be doing himself.
