Okay, so we’re lurkers, and we missed the board badly when it was down. And we’re all happy it’s back. But it made me think.
We all probably lurk for the same reasons; your response has been covered by someone else faster, nothing clever to say, still thinking about it, etc.
Really though, isn’t it much sicker to go through so much withdrawal when we’re only lurkers? I mean, I can understand all the people who missed being able to post but that’s not really us is it?

I dunno Elbows, 54 posts since January isn’t really lurking. (Unless all your posts were to test your sig line or something.)
I enjoy reading more than posting, and I did have some withdrawal pangs, until I realized that I wasn’t really missing anything. Would have been different if I couldn’t get on-line and it was just happening to me.
Have you ever thought it would be fun to try to post something in every thread? Theoretically, it’d be possible in MPSIMS at least. I tried it once, couldn’t do it, even annoyed myself, trying to think of something to say. I guess the operative word would be “bore.”
So, my answer is No, you’re not “sick” if you missed the Board even though you don’t post often. Sometimes watching is as much fun as participating.
I think I would consider myself a lurker. Things were getting rough for a while this past week. Then the email from SD management. And then, Saturday night, I clicked on my bookmarks to find the board was back! Such joy! Such enthusiasm!
What can I say, it was a boring weekend. Except for the wedding I got to usher. Other than that, boring.
