PST File Question

Before getting rid of an older computer I exported my contacts from MS Outlook into a PST file. Should have done so into a CSV format. I’m not having any luck with a PST>CSV conversion, which would allow me to import the contacts into MSoft Live Mail on my new computer. All that said, is there any way to simply print the data that’s contained in the PST file?

Thanks.

The PST file is binary, since Outlook 2003. Earlier and it was ASCII, so looking at it in a text editor might give you something you could look at in a text editor.

There’s a PST reader I found, that might give you what you need. Not sure whether it’s free. There’s also a converter to switch between the binary PST formats and the ASCII older format. I have not used either of these, and have no idea how well they work, or if they’ll help you.

A Google search suggested downloading the trial copy of Microsoft Office and then opening the PST file in Outlook (after which you can export it in CSV format).

This could work. My ex-employer still has my old computer. Why didn’t I think of this? Thanks.
