Here is the second Today Show segment. Sorry! :o
At about six minutes twenty seconds of the first Today Show interview segment he says “I sat down the first night they interviewed me, the day after she was missing, that evening they were over at my house and I gave them a full account of uh of the story, eh what took place and thereafter ah, I hired some attorneys, and the attorneys said don’t talk no more.” Listen from about six minutes five seconds into the interview to get the question he was asked. That raises a red flag, as I said. Why would it be “the story”?
When this first came out I was watching the news and I recognized one of the neighbors they were interviewing as an aquaintance of mine. Really it’s the only reason I started paying attention to the case at all.
It’s a sad case and I really hope that the girl is alright even though I know better, but I really hope that they stop trying to mix this story with the Lisa Stebic story too. It seems to be pissing off her family something fierce.
Does anyone else think that Drew Peterson looks like Donald Sutherland?
Yes, he does, and that’s another reason not to trust him! ::shifty eyes::
Note to all young, pretty women everywhere: DO NOT MARRY A MAN WITH THE LAST NAME PETERSON- he WILL kill you.
This has been your Diosa’s Daily Moment of Generalizations.
The part where he laughed while asking her to come home was just weird, IMO. He’s supposed to be grieving!
That was so creepy. Chilling. I’d bet money he knows exactly where her body is.
Drew and Stacey had have two children… Their 2 year old daughter’s name, and I’m not making this up, is Lacey.
shudder
The *what * was Arabic?
I’m wondering too. Zabali, could you provide more info? I remember this but didn’t know it was solved.
Pathologist says bruises on third wife’s body are “consistent with a beating.”
And I third the request for more info on the mystery photo woman.
I think I saw this interview. I think Vicki said that her husband would beat her and when she called the police, they would come to their house, talk to her husband and leave without filing a report or arresting her husband. If this is true, the police department has a lot of explaining to do.
Hmm… where were these bruises during the first medical examination, assuming there was a first examination? If so, someone’s got some explaining to do.
Bruising was listed on the original autopsy report. Here’s a link to it.
I’m really curious about one other thing, and I can’t post it over on Websleuths b/c for some reason I’m BANNED (no idea what I ever did to them)…
Did they check the house? Is it built over a crawl space? What if she wanted him OUT and wanted the house (there were a bunch of boxes in the garage at one point)? So he killed her and buried her in the crawl space? That would explain why he’s not in the least worried about all the searching - and why he keeps saying “She’s where she wants to be.”
I know someone on another messageboard who recently discovered indications of a possible crime in their crawlspace. The crime would’ve taken place 20+ years ago! Seems like an effective hiding place.
It’s no secret that criminals in general do stupid things, but I would think because he’s a cop, he’s not going to dump a body in the usual places (local river bank, on top of dry land, or even the crawl space). Assuming he did the third wife in, he may realize he made some mistakes and wanted Stacy to disappear for sure. And if the allegations of threatening to make his first wifes murder look like an accident are true, he’s going to be thinking ahead about covering his tracks. Either by burning her, dropping her in the middle of Lake Michigan (he has a small airplane), or took a trip and buried her in the middle of no where.
Ruled a drowning, ok. I don’t have a cite, but a coworker mentioned something about her being found in the tub, but without water? Is that true?
Yep - the neighbor described her as looking like a blue medicine ball, sitting and sort of hunched over with her hair hanging in front of her face. No water in the tub, and more blood present than you’d expect to find had the water drained out while she was bleeding.
His small airplane is an ultra-light, which would be impossible to fly whilst heaving someone overboard; however, he may well have a friend who does own an appropriate airplane. I saw a rumor that the Mayor has one, don’t know if that’s true.
According to SomeUserNames’s timeline, there doesn’t seem to be much of a window for Drew to execute an elaborate plot to dispose of her remains. I expect her remains will be found eventually.
I don’t follow this Drew/SA/mayor conspiracy theory, though. Perhaps I’m not parsing Mr Bus Guy’s post correctly; what is in it for the SA or the mayor to cover for Drew?
The mayor doesn’t fly a plane. Several cops do though, and Peterson lives just blocks from a small airstrip. I really have a hard time imagining right now that someone helped him knowingly dump a body. Although he owns an ultralight, he could have used another plane. I’m not sure how hard it would be to get to the local airstrip and ‘borrow’ someone else’s plane without their knowledge though.
I’m not - for the record - thinking the mayor is involved in any kind of conspiracy. He’s a jackass, but if he’s any kind of crooked, it’s white collar crooked.
I was speculating that first, there now looks to have been the usual cop sweeping other bad cop’s deeds under the rug, and second that because the SA thought he might have been doing the mayor a favor by not pursuing the 3rd wife’s death the way it should have been.
