Purim -- a drunk (but not Irish!) MMP

I am super caffeinating - along with my mega 44oz coffee, I am munching on dark chocolate espresso beans. ::buzzzzzzzz::

The neighbor and her daughter (who is 2) came over every day to feed/play. Besides, he and the new kid, Bear are pretty much a team these days. I bet the only time he missed me was bed time when he didn’t have feet to sprawl all over.

LiLi, hon, at his age, you need to sign him up for Short Attention Span Theater. If you have a bottle or binky waiting, he’ll forget the horrors within 5 minutes.

BTW, did you have him circumsized? That is a traumatic experience… When they did me, I didn’t walk for a year.

um - would you have walked anyway at that age? :dubious:

There you go again, killing a good punchline with a solid fact.

Lissla, you need to leave them on their front anyway so they learn to hold up their heads etc.

Velociraptor loved being on his tummy too (I have a picture of him on a blanket on his tummy and looking in a mirror… I have a long one that I would prop up on its side on the floor and he loved it, because he could see himself).

Up and caffeinating at work. I hate the buses today (but the more I drive, the more impatient I get for it to be June so I can take my test and (hopefully) get a car.

Whenever someone talks to Roo I start to get confused. It’s an old nickname of mine (from about… eight years back now I guess? We were being silly and everyone took a Winnie the Pooh nickname and some of them stuck) and I’m still called that in some places. I just have to keep reminding myself I’m not Roo here.

Thanks.

I’m also a member of the can’t-pee-without-the-cat-in-the-bathroom club. Mostly because Lily likes to drink from the sink and the best time to do so is when there’s someone in the bathroom to turn the water on. And off. And on. And off. And on.

Sorry for the presentation-and-billing hell, pugs.

I just showed those caramel egg muffins to some passing coworkers, and now I think I signed myself up for muffin-making. :smack:

Someone pointed out on the Easter basket muffins - how in the world would you transport them after making them??

it’s what I do

Fingers and all spare appendages crossed for your tests Taters, hopefully it is something easily fixed.

Oooh, baked goods! I see a day of baking in my near future.

Why are the words “Just Friends” so painful? She is the one who asked me out for pete’s sake. Blargle, indeed.

Awwww, honestly guys, were my lights that ugly? Sniffle
I’m having a bad day as it is, STOOPIT post office ripped my box of plants open and lost half of them! I bought ins. and emailed the seller, hopefully I can just use the refund money to replace the plants.

LiLi, When I had the middle child they were really into the whole Back to Sleep campaign. And I understand their reasoning. However, every child is different, some like to be on their backs. None of mine did, but some baby out there has to be comfortable with it. Some like to be on their sides as well. Mine liked to be on their backs with their butts waving in the air. We had better naps, longer sleep periods, and I had most of my sanity back. It’s amazing that you start to regain it again after the first four months.
Then to start to lose it when they turn into teenagers, but we’ll worry you with that later on.

:frowning: I can’t look at the lights at work. Many photo sites don’t work.

no, I think they’re pretty.

I really like the lights! I’m trying to think of where I could possibly use something like that.

I’m not on a rampage to kill anyone anymore.

Arglebarglegarglebarg. blink

Someone needs to tell outside to stop raining. It’s dark and gloomy and wet, and I’m really not impressed at the lack of sunshine.

I’m also annoyed because my lovely plan to spend the rest of the week at the downtown office (which is 20 mins from home) has been kiboshed, and instead I’ve been dispatched to the suburban office (a 2 hr trek away) to attend meetings that will involve a whole lot of talking but will probably not achieve any real results. NOT HAPPY. :frowning: Especially since I’ll also be stuck trekking out to the boonies for a whole two weeks starting next Tuesday.

I think I’ll be spending all of Easter Weekend in bed, and there’s nuffin’ anyone can do about it. Hrmph.

My cats usually follow me into the bathroom too. They love to watch the water swirl around when you flush… I personally can think of dozens of more entertaining things, but hey, I’m not a cat.

Tagfree, the flower lights look fabulous! (I typed that up before the blatant fishing for compliments, BTW) I’ve been meaning to try my hand at it ever since someone posted instructions over at Craftster a year or two ago, but so far I haven’t gotten around to it.

Wallflower, I’m sorry you got the “just friends” speech. That blows.

Taters, hope they can get you a diagnosis soon and can start patching you up.

Sorry mousie, and thanks rosie. Doesn’t help that Jim laughed at me for getting a blister on my finger from pulling the lights.

I’ve already heard from the people I bought my plants from! In less than ten minutes after I sent the email! They’re going to replace the plants the post office lost. If you’re ever interested in semi-exotic plants and grasses, look them up on eBay, westcoastplantsandgrass, and they also have a website under that name as well. Super outstanding people.

*muppet! Blatent? Ok, but I wanted something other than the laughter from my husband! * :stuck_out_tongue:

All I have to say is that I am insufficiently caffeinated and insufficiently interested.

However, I’m also insufficiently wealthy, so here I am, helping to hold down this particular section of office carpet.

Tagfree, you may scowl at your husband for being so unsupportive of your efforts to beautify the house. Hmph. And also tell him that there are plenty of really bad procrastinators out there without that kind of dedication to their art.

Time to go warm up some lunch (N.O.L) I’ve got leftovers from last night’s dinner (chicken w/ white wine mushroom and artichoke sauce). It turned out yummalicious, if I do say so myself… I think I’ll post the recipe on my blog tonight.

Somehow I missed the flower pictures, but I went back and looked. Very lovely Nolabel.

Tagfrree they are lovely lights. They are almost as lovely as pink flamingo lights which I keep telling a certain somebody I want as a present but have I gotten 'em yet? Why no!
Here ya go Rosie, just for you!

He has been trying really hard to hold up his head from birth, and can get it vertical while on his tummy. I don’t think he’d going to smother.

The doctor’s appointment was for tomorrow, although I have Wednesday written down. I think they got it wrong, not me, because while I don’t pay much attention to dates right now, I do to days of the week. We’ve re-booked for two weeks from now, Nat has a reprieve, and I’m trying to convince him to go back to sleep because I need a nap.

We went shopping instead, and I got him a zip hoodie with a duck on it. I’ll take pics. It’s adorable.
